The warp is made of cotton which makes it stable and durable. The rug's backside has a thin layer of latex that increases safety and keeps the rug from sliding around.

Great value for money! The carpet does not shed at all! It is easy to vacuum clean. It is just somewhat darker than I expected from the picture, but the picture also depends on the screen you are watching it.
