Qum Kork / silk Rug carpet from Persia / Iran.
This carpet is knotted in the holy town of Qum in central Persia. The wool used is known as cork-wool and it is sheared from the neck of the lamb. This makes it possible to spin the wool extra thin, thus leading to durable threads which makes the carpet very tight. The carpet is extremly well-made and in some cases very detailed. This kind of carpet shows a fine tradition of knotting silk carpets.

For a while now I've been searching for a pure wool rug which matched my criteria, ie had a particular unusual design and colours. Lovely product and an easy company to deal with. The rug we ordered was delivered quickly and is good quality. I ordered an anti slip mat which and the wrong product was sent out but their customer services was very quick and efficient and a replacement sorted out with a discount for my inconvenience, I would use this company again if I need another rug.
